LightMake's products and services are mainly intended for adults, or users who use 3D printers, related software and services with the consent and guidance of their guardians. Our products and services do not primarily serve children, nor will we proactively provide specialized services to children.

If you are a minor, you should read this Policy with the company and guidance of your parents or other guardians, and use LightMake products or services with the consent of your guardians.

Due to technical conditions and usage scenario limitations, we may not be able to proactively identify the user's true age. If we find that we have collected the personal information of children or minors who require guardian consent by law without obtaining the necessary consent from the guardian, we will take reasonable measures to delete the relevant information as soon as possible, or take other necessary processing measures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

If you are a parent or other guardian of a child or minor and believe that we may have processed your ward's personal information, or wish to access, correct, or delete the relevant personal information, you may contact us through the methods published in the "How to Contact Us" section of this Policy.

8. How your personal information is transferred globally

Because LightMake's products and services may be available to users in different countries and regions, and we may use servers, cloud service providers, technical service providers or customer support resources located in different countries or regions, your personal information may be accessed, stored or processed outside of your country or region.

For the personal information we collect and generate during our operations in mainland China, we will store and process it in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. We will not transfer relevant personal information overseas unless it is in compliance with laws and regulations or necessary to provide LightMake products and services.

For users located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or the United States, your personal information may be transferred to China or other countries and regions for processing. Please understand that the data protection laws of different countries or regions may be different from the laws of your region. When cross-border transfers occur, we will take necessary measures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations to ensure that your personal information is properly protected.

For cross-border transfers of personal data involving users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we will take appropriate protective measures in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR, UK GDPR and other applicable data protection laws, such as:

Sign applicable standard contractual clauses or other legal transmission documents with the relevant recipient;

Assess the necessity, legality and security risks of cross-border transfers;

Require the recipient to adopt appropriate data security and confidentiality measures;

When required by law, inform you of relevant cross-border transfers and obtain your consent or confirm other legal basis for processing.

If applicable laws and regulations require us to obtain your separate consent for specific cross-border transmissions, conduct security assessments, sign standard contracts or perform other compliance procedures, we will comply with the relevant requirements.

9. Storage period of your personal information

(1) General situation

Under normal circumstances, we will only retain your personal information for the shortest period necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this Policy, unless otherwise provided by applicable laws and regulations, or we obtain your additional authorization and consent.

When determining the retention period of personal information, we may consider the following factors:

the period necessary to provide LightMake products or services;

Your actual needs for using account, device binding, remote control, remote printing, camera remote viewing, customer support and other functions;

the periods necessary to comply with laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, tax, audit, compliance or dispute resolution obligations;

The period necessary to ensure the safety of products and services, troubleshoot faults, and prevent risks;

Whether you have canceled your account, deleted relevant data or revoked relevant authorization.

After the retention period of personal information exceeds, we will delete or anonymize your personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. If it cannot be deleted immediately due to backup, security audit or technical limitations, we will wait until it is deleted, overwritten or anonymized.

(2) Special agreement

For some data related to LightMake 3D printing services, we may set specific retention periods based on functional needs, including but not limited to:

Printing task information, such as print job name, printing parameters, G-code file, task configuration, printing status, printing start and end time, printing results, etc.;

3D model files or related printing files, such as model files, thumbnails, previews, sliced files or task files that you upload, generate or transmit through cloud printing, remote printing, print history, repeat printing or similar functions;

Relevant printing records, such as printing history, consumable consumption, device status, error codes, failure records, etc.;

The camera remotely views relevant data, such as pictures, videos, screenshots or video stream-related technical information generated when you enable relevant functions or actively submit customer support requests;

Troubleshooting and customer support information, such as log files, error reports, problem descriptions, communication records, pictures, videos, model files or other materials that you actively upload.

For the above information, we will determine the retention period based on specific functions, your setting choices, cloud storage space, service operation needs and applicable laws and regulations. If LightMake subsequently provides print history, repeat printing, cloud synchronization or similar functions in the product, we may set a default retention period and explain it to you on the product page, function description or this Policy.

After the default retention period expires, we may delete or anonymize the corresponding 3D model files, print job files, related print information or historical records. After the relevant information is deleted, you may not be able to continue browsing the corresponding history, repeatedly initiate the corresponding print job, or use cloud functions that rely on such data.

If you want to delete specific printing history, model files, task records, camera screenshots/videos or customer support materials, you may do so through the functions provided by LightMake App or related software; if the corresponding entrance is not yet provided in the product, you may contact us to make a request through the method published in the "How to Contact Us" section of this Policy.

10. How to update this Policy

In order to provide you with more secure, stable and good products and services, we may update this Policy from time to time based on functional changes, business development, technology updates, changes in laws, regulations or regulatory requirements of the LightMake App, related software, 3D printer device, cloud services and other related services.

After this Policy is updated, the updated content will form part of this Policy. We will not reduce your rights under this Policy currently in effect without your explicit consent.

If there are general updates to this Policy, such as text expression adjustments, contact information updates, function description additions, service name adjustments, etc., we may notify you through announcements within the LightMake App, page prompts, official website announcements, emails, push notifications, or other appropriate methods.

If this Policy changes in a way that may materially affect your rights, for example:

Expand the scope of collection of personal information;

Change the purpose of use, processing method or sharing scope of personal information;

Change the rules for processing sensitive personal information or special categories of personal data;

Change cross-border transmission, storage period or user rights exercise method;

Change the person responsible for our processing of personal information;

Other changes that may have a significant impact on your personal information rights;

We will notify you through pop-ups in the LightMake App, page prompts, site notifications, emails, push notifications or other prominent methods in accordance with applicable laws and regulations., we will process your personal information in accordance with the updated policy after obtaining your consent.

After this Policy is updated, we will indicate the latest update time and effective time on the policy page. It is recommended that you review this Policy regularly to understand how we protect your personal information.

11. Instructions for self-start or associated startup

In order to ensure that the LightMake App can timely receive important service-related notifications when it is closed, running in the background, or in other states allowed by the device system, such as device status reminders, printing progress reminders, printing completion reminders, printing exception reminders, account security reminders, system service notifications, customer support progress notifications, etc., the LightMake App may use necessary background communication, message push or associated startup capabilities according to the operating system mechanism.

The above capabilities are mainly used to implement necessary functions related to LightMake products and services, including but not limited to:

During the print job, timely reminders will be sent to you such as printing progress, printing completion, printing pause or printing failure;

When the equipment is offline, abnormal, faulty or has security risks, we will send you device status or fault reminders in a timely manner;

Send you account security reminders in scenarios such as account login, password modification, device binding, abnormal login, etc.;

Send you necessary notifications when there are system maintenance, service changes, policy updates, or changes in customer support progress.

When implementing the above functions, LightMake App may receive, display or process relevant notification information through message push services, system broadcasts, background tasks or similar mechanisms according to system rules. We will try to reduce the frequency of use of relevant capabilities and only use them within the scope necessary to realize product functions and services.

When you click a push notification from the LightMake App, the system may open the LightMake App and jump to a page related to the notification, such as print job details, device status page, message center, customer support page, or system notification page. For non-essential operational, event or product introduction notifications, we will send them to you after obtaining your consent in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; you may also turn off relevant notification permissions through the LightMake App settings or terminal device system settings.

If you turn off notification permissions, limit background operations, or turn off related system permissions, you may not be able to receive timely reminders about printing progress, device abnormalities, account security, or customer support, but this will usually not affect your ability to use other basic functions after manually opening the LightMake App.
